Through the Capital Plus! program, WCRA funded the University District Food Bank (UDFB) on November 28, 2018. UDFB supports more than 1200 households per week via their walk-in food bank, which allows families to select groceries most important to them. They also operate a roof top garden which provides fresh vegetables for the food bank.
The Capital Plus! Program is a partnership of the WCRA and the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, who financially supports Capital Plus! program funds. The program assists nonprofit organizations that otherwise may not have access to financing. More information regarding this program is available here.
